The Fiat Group has always been aware of social trends and promoted, supported and sponsored sports initiatives: from the Olympic medals won by Livio Berruti, Sara Simeoni, Pietro Mennea and Federica Pellegrini, to the many who dedicate themselves to amateur sports and compete each year for the Agnelli trophy. The Group has sponsored almost every type of sport from the most popular ones such as football, cycling, track and field and skiing, to more elite sports like sailing, golf, horseback riding and fencing. The Group was an Official Sponsor of the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
In recent years, the number of champions and teams that adorn the Group’s brands has grown: All Blacks, Juventus, Vanessa Ferrari, Andrew Howe, Margherita Granbassi, Caroline Kostner, Yamaha, and Ducati. Not to mention Ferrari, Maserati or Abarth, and the multitude of champions who, making great sacrifices, compete in Paralympic sports.
