For the past 130 years, Magirus has been building equipment to face the most serious emergencies: fires, floods, earthquakes and explosions. This Company’s story begins in 1872 when Conrad Magrius, head of the firefighters in Ulm, Germany, established the firm and invented the first firefighting ladder in history.
Today, the Company, which has received accolades and broad recognition in the marketplace, is made up of four enterprises: Iveco Magirus, Lohr Magirus, Iveco Mezzi Speciali and Camiva, which together make up one of the most important global players in the firefighting and emergency services sector in the world.
The Company, which has six manufacturing plants in Europe with 1,200 employees, has a global presence and actively collaborates with firefighters: from Siberia to Africa, and from China to Japan. It’s through these direct links with the front line during emergency situations that the best and most reliable technological solutions are born.
