Trucks and Commercial Vehicles
The Fiat Group's vocation for commercial vehicles goes back a long way: at the Milan International Exhibition in May 1901, the Company presented two “omnibus” and a trailer for firefighters.
Today, the sector is represented by Iveco which designs, produces and sells a complete range of industrial vehicles under the Iveco brand, buses under the Irisbus brand and firefighting and special services vehicles under the Magirus and Astra brands.
Recently, Iveco has pushed to increase its presence in China and South America and has taken the first steps to begin development in Russia. These measures are part of a growth strategy centred on industrial and commercial expansion on extra-European markets. The challenge for Iveco in the next few years is in fact two-fold: improving its profitability, reaching double digit profitability in the next three years, and transforming itself from an international actor to a key global player.

Iveco enters the light off-road segment with the Massif. This model signals a return to the roots of four-wheel-drive, a 4x4 vehicle designed for utility applications and based on an off-road sport architecture. | |
