Central administration at Monte Titoli and Dematerialization of securities
In order for shares to be centrally administered at Monte Titoli, a stockholder who has opened a deposit account must deliver the shares to a bank or other authorized intermediary or to the issuing Company.
As of October 5, 1998, Fiat shares that are centrally administered at Monte Titoli have been dematerialized, as required under Articles 36 of Decree Law 213/1998.
After January 1, 1999, rights attributable to shares that are not centrally administered may be exercised after the securities have been surrendered to an intermediary or the Company for dematerialization and centralized administration.
The dematerialization of the securities is accomplished by surrendering the certificates to the Company (Corporate Securities Department, Corso Ferrucci 112A, Turin).
