Ensuring responsible growth for our Company is one of the critical issues of our times, due to its social and economic ramifications and its impact on the environment.

The Fiat Group has always been sensitive to this issue and believes that every company activity must be carried out with due respect for all those who are directly or indirectly affected as well as all those on whom our activities will have an impact.

An ongoing commitment to these ideals is evidenced by numerous initiatives that have been recorded in the “Environmental Report” for eleven years, and in the “Sustainability Report” over the last four years.

The Fiat Group has taken great strides on the sustainable mobility front, and in terms of stakeholders’ involvement. It is nevertheless aware of the road it must still travel in this direction and of the challenges that lay ahead, with the following goals clearly in mind:

• full use of an environmental management system and safety standards in its manufacturing processes. This means reducing emissions, and water and energy consumption, and increasing waste and materials recycling, and removing work safety hazards;

• application of a sustainable mobility model that, for the entire life-cycle of the product, takes into account its impact on the environment and on the health and safety of people;

• full involvement of all parties interested in the Group’s activities in this virtuous process. Not just stockholders and financial backers, but also employees, customers, suppliers and the communities in which the Group operates;

• creation of a work environment which offers everyone equal opportunity for growth and development through enhancement of their professional skills.

In other words, the Fiat Group is aiming at a development that can be defined as a fusion between growth and respect
